Gopuff is back with the launch of a new TV ad in time for the Euros, reminding people of the magic of instant grocery delivery and helping people to enhance their football experience.

It’s happened again. Your mates are over, the football is getting intense, extra time is looming and… you’ve run out of food and drinks. Damn. The party is deflating, people are in desperate need of a snack, but their wishes cannot be granted. That is, until people’s desires appear before their eyes. *Poof* there’s a beer, then crisps, and even… a sweet treat! But this isn’t magic, it’s the power of Gopuff’s delivery-to-door service saving the day, so the focus can remain on the important thing: football.

Airing tonight, the 30” ad created by creative agency Among Equals and produced by TEEPEE FILMS, taps into the sky-high anticipation and football fever of the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament. People’s despair turns to awe, the room spins and pulses, dreams come true, and Gopuff demonstrates its unique ability to elevate these experiences for people across the country.

Emily Jeffrey-Barrett, Co-founder and Creative Director at Among Equals says, “The Euros are a huge collective event for Britain. It's a big opportunity for brands. But in times like this, brands often fall into the trap of applying a thin veneer of association with the event as if that is enough to make an effective ad. Instead, we decided to create hyper-relevancy and show people how Gopuff can actually fit into their lives during momentous occasions like this.”

It comes at a pivotal time for the speedy grocery delivery sector, which has recently lost some of its biggest players. Gopuff is one of the only options left for consumers, and this thoughtful advert shows the brand’s commitment to being the hyper-convenient solution people want.

Ollie Burch, Co-founder and Strategy Director at Among Equals says, “The sector has lost some of its shine with the struggles many companies have had with it. We wanted to remind people of why we all fell in love with the idea of being able to get a wide range of produce delivered in under thirty minutes. It enables a level of spontaneity and convenience that never existed before. This new ad plays into that idea, reigniting the sense of magic in that experience.”

The campaign follows on from Gopuff’s Aldi price match campaign, another demonstration of their aim to be truly there for the people. “Gopuff are committed to fulfilling a genuine need for the moments in life where people need something and fast. We’ve helped them show their role in people’s important life events.” Says Burch, Among Equals.

It’ll be supported by ‘A Month of Magic’ - deals, discounts and surprises for Gopuff customers, running throughout the Euros - alongside nationwide digital ads targeting Gopuff’s delivery zones.
