To answer those who still doubt the power of wind energy, EDP turned to a force no one questions: the power of super-athletes. That’s why EDP, one of the largest wind energy producers in the world, brought in Olympic gold medallist Melissa Jefferson — one of the fastest women on the planet. Together with Havas Lisbon, EDP took Melissa to one of its wind farms and built a 100-metre track, right next to the turbines. The challenge? To see if she could beat her personal best, powered by the same wind that drives EDP’s turbines. And she did. With the wind at her back and the turbines spinning behind her, Melissa ran faster than ever before. A powerful moment that proved a simple truth: “We are faster with the power of wind.”
