Description
Monzo has launched ‘Get busy living’, its first global brand platform, as the bank looks to build on its growth across the UK and Europe. The campaign focuses on the idea that when managing money becomes effortless, people have more time to focus on the things they enjoy. It reflects Monzo’s evolution from a fintech challenger into a mainstream bank serving more than 15 million customers and businesses, with services spanning budgeting, saving, borrowing, investing, mortgages and retirement planning.
Developed by BBH London with Monzo’s in-house creative studio and NUSA STUDIOS, the campaign is Monzo’s biggest integrated brand campaign to date. Directed by Daniel Wolfe, it features 10 cinematic single-shot films depicting everyday moments, from making a daughter laugh at bathtime to singing in the driver’s seat of a van. Monzo’s products appear subtly within each story, showing how features such as Salary Sorter, Joint Accounts and Monzo for Under 16s can handle financial tasks in the background while customers focus on life.
Narrated by Olivia Colman and soundtracked by tracks including ‘Teenage Dirtbag’, ‘Careless Whisper’, ‘Baba O’Riley’ and ‘Days Like This’, the campaign combines warmth, humour and optimism to reinforce Monzo’s broader mission of making money work for everyone. The platform spans TV, cinema, SVOD, BVOD, radio, social, digital and out-of-home, with media planning by Starcom. The OOH campaign includes major placements at Waterloo Motion and Piccadilly Lights, featuring photography by Elliot James Kennedy.
