As the world’s leading 100% USDA-certified organic, additive-free tequila, it’s a brand with nothing to prove and nothing to hide behind. The brand’s dedication to taste over flash has earned the “if you know, you know” backing of many connoisseurs, and it’s doubling down on that quality and heritage this month, launching a new campaign that riffs on one of history’s most iconic truth-tellers—the burning bush.
Titled, “For Those Who Know,” the new work lets a plant do the talking: a 100% Blue Weber Agave with opinions, years of tequila-making behind it, and no patience for clout chasers or tequila snobs.
The campaign, like the product, is for people who already know what makes tequila, tequila. The agave just confirms it.
Created in partnership with Austin-based production shop Supernatural (an arm of creative agency Bakery), the series of films, print, digital, and OOH features the hero plant speaking directly to camera about the many ways Dulce Vida is the real deal.
In the :30 hero spot, the Agave says that all tequila knowledge starts with agave … so viewers should listen to one.
Alongside supple camera work filled with moody shadows and light, the plant takes viewers through a decade of its life… all of which leads up to a single sip of tequila.
A series of shorter films offer a similar vibe, one taking a jab at other, lesser-quality “celebrity” tequilas and another leaning into the old school nature of just making tequila the right way.
