Quest Nutrition

Feed Your Athlete

Agency: Zambezi

Description

Modern life is a contact sport. Whether sprinting for a flight or wrestling an unruly tent before sundown, daily life demands stamina, resilience, and competitive protein-packed nutrition. To reassert its dominance as the category leader providing protein with robust nutritional value, Quest Nutrition selected independent, integrated agency Zambezi to engineer an enduring masterbrand idea built to drive the business for years to come. Across its portfolio, Quest combines high-quality protein without a ton of sugar and net carbs, meaningful fiber and craveable taste to help everyone fuel their inner athlete.

The new creative campaign launches just three months after fortifying the new partnership following a competitive pitch. The platform, titled "Feed Your Athlete," demonstrates how Quest helps everyone tackle everyday life with the tenacity of a high-performance competitor and celebrates the idea that performing at your best isn't reserved for elite athletes. It's something people strive for every day. The first of three films, “Quest ‘Feed Your Athlete’ Stacks Bar,” airs tonight during Thursday night football, with the remaining spots rolling out beginning next Thursday, Sept 24th.

“As the category becomes more saturated, it's more important than ever to be clear about what makes Quest different. The Brand has spent years building products that fuel consumers and combine high-quality protein and fiber with great taste, while minimizing sugar." said Emily Johnston, SVP Quest Marketing. "In partnering with Zambezi to define Quest's next chapter, that nutritional philosophy became the foundation for 'Feed Your Athlete,' recognizing that some of life's most competitive moments happen far away from the gym or playing field."

The rollout kicks off with an integrated multi-channel campaign anchored by three tongue-in-cheek :30 spots debuting across broadcast, digital, and social. Replacing traditional narrative tropes with sharp, everyday humor, the creative champions "Performance Maxxers" overcoming real-world obstacles—featuring Quest Taco Protein Chips, the Quest Cinnamon Brown Sugar Stacks Protein Bar, and the Quest Cookies & Cream Protein Bar.

The debut creative showcases relatable, high-stakes daily heroics brought to life by three distinct characters: Shannon, a camper holding her own against rebellious tent poles; Laurie, a mom effortlessly triumphing over a kid's birthday party; and Chris, an ambitious accountant hyping himself up before asking for a raise. Channeling their inner coaches—fueled by Quest—each powers through to victory. Two additional films will roll out later this year to complete the initial five-part campaign.

"Pitching for Quest was an incredible opportunity to redefine how a powerhouse active nutrition brand communicates," said Laura Stayt, President at Zambezi. "We engaged in a tight competitive pitch to become Quest’s new agency partner and bring a fresh, masterbrand vision to life. Turning this strategic framework into a fully realized, multi-touchpoint launch in just ninety days proves what’s possible when agency and brand teams operate with total alignment."

Extending beyond paid media, “Feed Your Athlete” will also come to life through cultural partnerships and live experiences. Quest has teamed up with The Roommates Show—the hit sports and culture podcast hosted by professional basketball stars Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart—as a sponsor for The Roommates Show Block Party, a sold-out season finale live recording this week in Randall’s Island on September 24.

As category pioneers, Quest is bringing its nutritional advantage and performance-minded philosophy to a broader range of everyday moments, showing that the drive to improve, push forward and rise to the occasion belongs to everyone—whether they wear a jersey or not.
