Fanta has always been an icon. If I tell you to think about something orange and fun, what’s your first thought? Fanta. Duh :)
These values can be easily associated with the y2k era, a time where Fanta used to be influential, an era that is now, more than ever, making a comeback, trying to bring back a simpler time, where you innocently thought that life would be exactly like your childhood’s tv shows.
Our idea is to actually bring back to life every teen’s childhood wishes with “Fanta’s y2kollection”: the best of the 2000s iconic gadgets.
We actually bring you back to the 2000s by integrating y2k gadgets into your daily life, and allowing you to truly be your childhood hero in your orangest era, reclaimed by Fanta.
To spread this era, Fanta shared its collection through an online shop, launched by a social activation. We gifted the OG y2k “influencers” a branded packaging containing the gadgets that they themselves made famous. In addition we placed different pop up stores, in the main U.S. cities, where, other than buying “Fanta’s y2kollection”, you can actually experience your childhood show’s sets, and be the main character of your own y2k story.

This student campaign titled 'Fanta Y2Kollection' was published in Italy and United States in March, 2024. It was created for the brand: Fanta, by ad school: Istituto Europeo di Design.
