The iconic bird is gone as Twitter changes its logo. Twitter users were embarrassed by this and expressed great regret. It diverts people's attention from Twitter's iconic bird to endangered birds. This is an advertisement for birds that are at risk of disappearing in the real world, not in the digital space.
