A spec concept for Duolingo addressing doomscrolling among younger generations.

Doomscrolling doesn't happen because people are lazy. It happens when there's nothing better to do in that exact moment.

DuoCharge intercepts that moment when free-tier users run out of energy. Instead of a paywall or an ad, Duolingo becomes a fullscreen charging screen. A timer runs with a prompt. After you comeback, your energy is ready for another session.

No shaming. No blocking. Just a simple trade of offline activity for a full energy, and a reason to keep learning.
