Description
This project presents a visual identity for Darwish Words Festival, inspired by the poetic world of Mahmoud Darwish. Using a collage-based approach, the design combines fragmented portraits, handwritten verses, and archival paper textures to reflect themes of memory, exile, and emotional depth found in Darwish’s poetry.
Muted earthy tones enhance the sense of nostalgia, while typography is treated as a visual element rather than just text, allowing words to blend naturally into the imagery. The identity extends across multiple applications, including posters, outdoor billboards, and printed materials, maintaining a cohesive and expressive visual language.
Rather than serving as a promotional tool alone, the identity invites viewers to experience poetry as a living visual memory.
Concept:
Transforming poetry into a unified visual system where words become fragments of memory and identity.
