Description

While many CPG brands embrace AI-generated advertising, Chookie took a different approach.

After finding that consumers responded more strongly to handmade content than polished AI-generated creative, the New Jersey snack brand built "Chookie HQ: Shipping Department", a backyard treehouse dedicated to cardboard aviation, practical effects, and the highly serious business of delivering cookie bars through suburban treetops.

The first film follows the Shipping Department crew as they attempt to launch "Chookie Air," a fictional airline engineered from cardboard, duct tape, and unreasonable optimism. Created using practical effects, miniature props, painter's-pole camera rigs, and improvised filmmaking techniques, the campaign embraces imperfections, humor, and visible human effort.

The project became an ongoing content platform designed to generate films, photography, and recurring brand assets from a single production environment. Since launch, the handmade creative has significantly outperformed previous AI-generated campaigns in follower growth and audience engagement.

Built around Chookie's philosophy of "fresh air + all things that taste good," Chookie HQ: Shipping Department is an expanding universe of delivery mishaps, aviation experiments, and unnecessary operational seriousness.
