Description

“Champions of resilience”
Created for the APCL Lisbon Cerebral Palsy Association, this poster campaign draws on the visual language of iconic cinema to challenge perceptions of who real heroes are.
Built on a simple yet powerful idea, the campaign establishes a parallel between legendary film protagonists and real people with cerebral palsy — the true champions of resilience.

The posters recreate instantly recognizable scenes from Forrest Gump and Rocky I, replacing the original protagonists with individuals with cerebral palsy. While maintaining the visual and emotional familiarity of these cinematic moments, the images gain a deeper, more authentic meaning.

The message is clear: “Not all champions of resilience are in the movies.”

By placing real stories of resilience within the aesthetic universe of fiction, the campaign invites audiences to reconsider where true heroism lives beyond the screen.

This professional campaign titled 'Champions of resilience' was published in Portugal in March, 2026.
