With Milwaukee hosting the RNC, the city’s Historic Third Ward (HTW), recognized as the #5 Best Art District according to USA Today’s 2024 “Best Reader’s Choice Awards,” launched a local advertising campaign to help draw attention to the district as an attractive tourist destination. Developed pro bono by Hanson Dodge, whose offices are located in the district, the campaign draws on the area’s beer notoriety and invites tourists and visitors to put aside their differences and engage in a little #Beerpartisanship fun. Advertising includes posters, window displays, and a #Beerpartisanship card game in which players were filmed and videos shared on Instagram and other HTW social media outlets. Of course, players who agreed on answers were each rewarded with a free cold beer.
