Beauty The Eye Can't See
Description
We spend around 17 minutes choosing what to wear, 13 minutes on makeup, yet only 30 seconds on our fragrance ritual. Perhaps because fragrance is the one part of our beauty ritual we can’t see. For Fragrance Month, FACES and The Refreshment Club asked: what if you could see fragrance? Beauty the Eye Can’t See borrows the visual language of fashion editorial and imagines a lens that can see scent, visualising flowers, petals and fragrance ingredients across the body and in the air around it — making the invisible part of the look visible.
The campaign borrows fashion’s familiar language too. Where an editorial might tell us what someone is wearing, FACES applies it to fragrance: “Farah wears YSL Libre Intense.” By making scent part of the styling, Beauty the Eye Can’t See shows how much those 30 seconds can contribute to our image, presence and the way others experience us positioning the fragrance ritual alongside fashion, makeup and skincare as a key part of getting ready.
