ACBA Digital, the new app by ACBA Bank, one of Armenia’s largest banks, was launched in 2020.
To promote the app among young users, the integrated campaign positioned the new app as a tool empowering people to do banking in any way they like.
Based on the consumer insight that the new generation of bank clients is averse to traditional banking (visiting bank offices, standing in line, etc.) the campaign featured confident youngsters boldly announcing a seemingly anti-promotional statement – “Not Gonna go to ACBA Anymore”, coupled with the campaign slogan – “Bank it Your Way”.
The campaign video (aired on TV and published on social media), took the message one step further,showing how the youngsters live it their way by breaking stereotypes and defying conventions.
The OOH visuals quickly became a popular meme among social media users, helping the campaign go viral and raising wide awareness about the new app.
