Road crashes in Nigeria spiked by 52%. Not because the roads got worse. Because our driving did. With thousands of lives lost to reckless driving and overspeeding, Leadway Assurance knew that conventional insurance messaging wasn't enough. Life is priceless, and reducing that number required more than a product pitch. It required intervention.
Traditional road safety campaigns talk at drivers: "Drive safe," "Say no to overspeeding." Nigerians have heard it all, and kept speeding anyway. So we stopped telling people what to do and showed them what happens when they don't. We crashed a real car into a billboard on one of Lagos's busiest routes, turning the consequence of reckless driving into an impossible-to-ignore physical installation. Because sometimes, the only way to make people drive safe is to show them exactly why they should.
