Nothing has been talked about more than Electric Vehicles (EVs) in the auto world. Yet the world's biggest auto manufacturer, Toyota, has been largely invisible, with no one noticing Toyota’s own EV, the bZ4X. We needed to get Asian Americans to recognize Toyota’s first-ever EV.
Asian cinema is not just a trend —it’s at the forefront of culture. Bold, imaginative, and resonant, it speaks universally while staying rooted in the unique and reflecting deeper cultural truths. So we tapped into the emotional power of Asian storytelling to make the bZ4X unforgettable and stand out in the sea of EVs.
Toyota launches a collection of short films, starring Toyota’s all-electric vehicle, the bZ4X. We partnered with the world-renowned Asian film director, Tarsem Singh, to create eight 15-second films that tap into rising Asian cinema from high-energy Indian Tollywood to over-the-top K-drama to the classic Japanese Kaiju.
