Since 1970, football teams began to include sponsor brands on their shirts. But over the last few years, the monetization of this space has grown without limits to the point of making it hard to identify the team's coat of arms, colors and player informations, raising the debate about the devaluation of the sacred mantle.
To remind fans of their team's original shirt, DM9 agency created “Clean Sponsorship”, a brand experience for the Consul washing machine to wash the shirts of Clube Atlético Juventus, one of the most traditional in São Paulo (Brazil), which turns 100 years old in 2024.
During the Paulista A2 championship matches, the team wore a clean shirt, without the logo of any sponsor, not even Consul.
“The team shirts were initially designed to be seen that way, clean. That's why a sponsorship without any logo display, not even Consul's, managed to create an even stronger relationship with the team and fans”, says Icaro Doria, co-president and CCO of DM9.
