Today, Italy is going through an unprecedented demographic crisis.
But it is in 2050 that the country reaches a point of no return:
Adamo, the last child of Italy, is born.

Coming after months without new births, this already rare event is destined never to be repeated.
Three years later, hospital maternity wards, kindergartens and nursery schools are now empty, abandoned.
Adamo's parents are torn between happiness and joy at sharing their lives with the little one and worrying about the future that awaits him. After all, what kind of childhood can a child have without playmates or deskmates? And what future can a country have without children?

How did we get here?
How could we have underestimated the demographic crisis for decades and not implemented concrete measures to support new parents?

This is a story that belongs to the future, but which speaks of the present of Italy. A future that sociologists, demographers have predicted, but that we can change today, if the public system, private companies and institutions decide to act.
