Film festivals are often seen as niche events, catering mainly to arthouse audiences and industry insiders. Films for Every Taste was created to challenge that perception—showing that the Stockholm International Film Festival is for anyone who loves film, whatever their preferences.
The campaign consists of two short films made specifically for cinema screens across Sweden. Each begins in a familiar genre before taking an unexpected turn, mirroring the festival’s diverse program and the thrill of cinematic discovery.
In 'Storytime,' a Disney-inspired fairy tale starring legendary Swedish actor Stina Ekblad transforms into campy 80s horror. In 'Romance,' a picturesque picnic scene shifts into a dark Danish relationship drama after an unexpected confession.
By screening the films ahead of a wide range of theatrical releases, including major blockbusters, the campaign brings the spirit of the festival to new audiences—celebrating the full spectrum of cinema, from the playful to the profound.
