Description

Visa fraud has evolved rapidly in recent years, with scamsters exploiting digital platforms and deceiving applicants through fake slots, expedited appointments, and job offers.

As a company that has handled over 500 million applications across 160+ countries since 2001, we advanced our long-standing consumer campaign #DoNotFallForFraud.

Driving a unified message on behalf of key governments such as the UK, Canada, and Australia, we encouraged applicants to stay alert, report scams, and rely only on our verified communication channels by spotlighting how scamsters mislead applicants through social media, email, phone calls, fake websites and other channels.

We issued advisories in 10+ languages, timed during peak travel and student visa seasons, emphasising the visa as the first step of different travel experiences.

We also tapped into cultural moments like Data Privacy Week, Safer Internet Day, and World Emoji Day, using creative hooks and relatable storytelling to keep our anti-fraud message relevant and engaging.

And by tapping into our diverse workforce of 150+ nationalities, we brought warmth and relatability to critical advisories, ensuring audiences saw the message not as a warning, but as guidance from people like them.

Seven years on, the campaign continues to reach over 30 million viewers worldwide, deepening consumer awareness and helping reduce fraud complaints across regions.
