One of the defining collaborations of Madeline Kahn's career was with director Mel Brooks. In "Blazing Saddles" (1974), she played the role of the sultry and hilarious saloon singer Lili Von Shtupp. Her comedic delivery and uninhibited performance in the film not only stole scenes but also earned her a second Academy Award nomination. The chemistry between Kahn and Brooks extended to "Young Frankenstein" (1974), where she portrayed the iconic character of Elizabeth, the fiancée of Dr. Frankenstein. These films solidified Kahn's reputation as a comedic force, and her unique ability to infuse humor into any character she portrayed became a hallmark of her career.
