Too simple - could have done something to give 'yellow' more meaning but this? Feels like a nice first thought though.
Lovely YP expression. Great little campaign.
The Jobless Writer
Will Think for Salary
Might work if everything in life was black and white!
But what if I'm looking for cheese stores? Lemon, pineapple, corn, squash or banana suppliers? Golden labrador, chick and canary pet stores? Daffodil, dandelion or sunflower shops? Raincoat, Post-it, pencil or school-bus manufacturers? Mustard, custard or butter makers? Big Bird, Pac-man, Smiley or Tweetie or Sponge Bob costume makers? :P
Oh and btw, the universally recognized colour for hard-hats is....yellow!
Well the fact is that this can work with anything of any color except for yellow. Put green red blue purple navy pink any color and have an object the same color and the concept works.
Always try to be unique even when forced to conform.
It would work if the message was, 'Be visible with yellow pages', not 'Stand out'. Any colour would be visible on any colour that's not the same as it is. But only a few colours provide a high enough contrast for them to 'stand out' on yellow. Which makes yellow just as good as any other colour in the 'making things stand out' area. :D
Simple = good.
and the simple thought here is: just like some colours create a high contrast on yellow, some brands will get noticed in the yellow pages?!
and if not yellow apges, am not gonna be on a black page for sure...so i am not too attracted.
this first idea. 0 effort.
simplicity doesn't mean that you don't use your brain!!! DAH..another bad campaign from LOWE Dubai!
This idea breaks the notion... that first idea should always be ignored.
'Be visible with yellow pages' could work better, agree with takmelius
