feels like they needed a creative ad, thought this up, tried harder couldn't think of anything better, and fell back on this one.

No they don't make the BEST cars... but they make a good car that is affordable enough so you actually have a little money to travel to those destinations! Mercedes are great cars, but some of us can't afford them. Nice ad. I think it easily conveys the message without making the audience think. I think that the easier you can get your message across the more successful an ad can be.

ATTENTION ALL COMMENTERS: I've seen this trend before and used to do it myself... You leave a comment as a guest, hit the "Post comment" button, then look to see that it posts, only to discover that it doesn't show up! So you type it again, and again! Well if you are a guest, it takes a little while for it to show. However, if you create an account which takes all of 5 minutes... your comments immediately show up in the thread. Plus, putting a name to the comment helps keep anonymous rude comments from flooding the site!

Shut up guys, this is award-winning. The air of the countryside (Tuscany, Provence, Chamonix...) is always the purest, that's why he collects it.
The ad evokes traveling and exploration.
Idiots won't get it. But I doubt idiots can ride a VW anyway.

Yes, i'm one of those idiots that drive a VW.....but do you think i will change for a "Cabriole" if i live in Paris and go only to Tuscany 1 week a year to "breaaattthhhhh pure air"?...and for travelling the best "purest way" is to leave your car in your garage and go to Fidji, Reunion Island, Canada,Brazil, South Africa....
You are one of those guys that think that clients are "morrons"!
