i wish i had a high res colour screen like this back in the eighties instead of this green and black crap they sold back then
Actually Apple came out with this computer:
http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?st=1&c=71
with: VGA modes with 24-bit color could be added with an additional video card (see the Second Sight SVGA card at Sequential Systems at http://www.sequential.com/).

here's the story i read a couple of years ago in the papers (oh, and which really happened to the son of the uncle of my best friends' wife):
back in the eigthies, pontiac sold KITT-converted trans ams.
a guy tried to jump over a train with his KITT. as he reached the train at full speed he probably realised that the TURBO BOOST button was only a dummy button. after this incident trans am stopped selling KITT converted cars.
...aaaahhhh the power of entertainment media. print or t.v. can't ask for a better line of work.
Sincerely,
Arnold Santillan
