This ad's quality depends on the target audience the marketing department is attacking. Placing this ad in a Men's forum or magazine would not be affective. The "cute" nature of this article does not ignite a masculine feeling in men. Even though common belief is facial hair is more masculine, shaving is considered a masculine action by men. Picturing a man with his knees pressed together showing emotion emasculates the character in the ad.

Now having this ad placed in a women's oriented magazine might prove to be successful. Wives and girlfriends appreciate the "cute" nature of the ad. They want to manufacture emotion when giving their man a gift.
