really very bad!!..and so dated!
look who's watching!
Is it wrong to use vintage images for a "history" campaign? I thought it was hilarious when I got it.
We have to ad shoe shine to the hot food, condoms, diet products, travel agencies and budget hotels.
What....?

i don't know if that's totally true about hot foods, condoms, diet products, travel agencies and budget hotels. no doubt you're right in that a lot of work has been done in those categories but in a way, it's almost more of a challenge to do something great. so if you do, you can be a hero. and of course, people will think it was easy and disrespect you for it because they'll think "i could have done that".
that said, i don't know how i feel about these ads. i guess they're alright. they're certainly simple. but i think there's a bigger idea out there than "wow what a shine."

at least it's artsy and brave. not exactly my cup of tea aesthetics or consumer wise though... but the SHINE is in the product, so nothing wrong with that
