It's got flaws, but I like this idea. What are the blacked out words supposed to represent? The idea seemed to be leading me to think of bad or hateful words that we could do without, but then seemed to say that there was no way to kill a word but we might be able to strip it of all it's meaning, thereby taking the word back. But then it turns out the ad is for Rolling stone and they aren't going to sell a magazine by saying that they "edit" their words. So it must be that they're saying that Rolling Stone somehow keeps words and ideas alive.....which is nonsense.

This concept would have been better had it been about censorship or freedom of information or something. As it is, it's not really doing anything, but it's still a nice concept.
