Facebook 1939
Description
The origin of an independent Slovak state in 1939 was accompanied by racial oppression and later by the deportation of Jews to concentration camps. Print, which spread simultaneously also by means of galleries on Facebook, is reminiscent of the events after the birth of the Slovak state, and endeavors to present these events and their consequences to today's generation. This visual is at the same time an invitation to join the protest action ‘Enough of the Silenceʼ. A more comprehensive version of the visual made it to the cover of a publication on latent racism,
Print advertisement created by Lowe, Slovakia for People Against Racism, within the category: Public Interest, NGO.
After the establisment of the Slovak state on the 14th of March 1939 a lot of people lost lots of friends.

Nice, but it feels like something is missing. Doesn't put a 'shock' at me. For instance, art isn't fully in 1 style.

This one is really good

I agree with the 7th the 11th but not with the 12th
fuck Facebook jokes, shit aint funny man, its like joking about moses.

facebook had nothing to do with those events. next.

What could be more schocking than the fact itself? i think this is more about reconnecting people, mostly the youth and a decent way how to say Do not forget...we all do have friends, let's keep it that way, no war, racism or hate should tear families or friends apart. Actually, there shouldn't be any war at all. You say facebook has nothing to do with those events, this is not about facebook...spreading the message on FB is just a way, a tool, not more...i think

I agree!!!!!!!!
Facebook is an inappropriate tool, don't you think? It's a 24 yr old billionare who's making money off the people it's connecting. That doesn't seem like a tool that cares about anything but his own vacation to tahiti....maybe this image is using history to tell us something.

PERFECT
Well facebook has a loyal, mindless following that has no real means but to advertise people's thoughts; if you don't agree with them you are either reguarded as an outcast or an optimist because that particular person happened to agree or disagree with you....whatever you think about it, it's still millions of people gravitating towards something that doesn't bring people to like mindedness as a whole, in my opinion. I understand that in this day and age the internet is used to bring people together that would not otherwise be able to connect, but i do not believe facebook is the answer. Shit, use ancestory.com or whatever the fuck. So, to wrap this up, naming this facebook is blasphemy and redundant.
