2 problems:

1. Slogan was used by Heinz Ketchup for many years.

2. I've seen a lot of ads use this format lately (multiple boxes of pictures).

longtooth, where have you been living...uranus?
heinz used it as a headline in one of their ads, whereas guinness has had this as its worldwide positiong for as long as i can remember.
agree with you on the box format thing, but this one is done very nicely, think its just a bit smarter.

I didn't know commercials had headlines...

I could be wrong, but I think Guinness used the slogan: "Guiness, Pure Genius" for most of the 80's and 90's.
Anyway I don't hate the ad, but I'm not dry-humping my monitor either.

The ad is dull to say the least. The ad states the blindingly obvious.

People think its good because a certain advertising agency is attached to it.

It's still utterly forgetable.
