So, is this ad trying to say that when we read a book, we identify ourselves with the protagonist thus becoming them? And therefore we should read more?
I don't get it. Besides, nope, you are not your book. It's a cool flight from the everyday world and I'd get the point if it was about the much more immersive movie. But books are rather catalysts for phantasies and rarely means of identification (more so when it's about bios).
Plus where does this ad show a famous protagonist/book/cover or anything? Plus, it reminds me very strikingly of the ad with a woman holding a book cover showing a face (girl with the pearl earrings) in front of her head...
