i like the execution of the message. but i dont get the justification for the message. do a lot of people in britain hate marmite? and another lot who love it?

Yes, in Britain and Australia, Marmite has been positioned (for a loooong time) as something you either love or hate. It's a smart way to go, and based on a truism- it is a very very acquired taste.
