But once an agency uses this execution in another ads, then they are accused of stealing/ copying from Lowe. Hmmmn....

However, I'm not against this, whether 'borrowing' from art or an ad, as long as it's relevant and works for the concept.

Is this execution relevant to John Lewis Christmas? Would it not have been more relevant to a lighting product?

It's still beautifully produced and executed.

You're right, knowing the roots of it's inspiration doesn't make it a bad idea. If you really like that artist then be glad this ad drew attention to his work.

I think it's a great application of the idea and a great ad.
