If you dont know who Mugabe is then you're just an ignorant ponce and probably dont contribute much to this world anyway so you wouldn't be interested in the international society for human rights.
I think it's time for you to put on glasses. MEDICAL glasses. ORR.. you know what...................... do a brain surgery.

THATS WHAT AM ASKING WHERE ARE THESE MODERN CULPRITS WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE IN KILLING MORE THAN 100,000 PEOPLE. BUT THEN WE CAN UNDERSTAND THESE ADS ARE COMING FROM THE COUNTRY OF IDIOTS, WHO GAVE THE WORLD THEIR WORST CHILD CALLED HITLER
jai hind

sigh... hitler, my mulitcultural friends, was from austria not germany. and amnesty is an institution for human rights. anti-war department is on the 3rd floor
agreed. defamation of global leaders give rise to controversial persepctives including debates. finally we end up making some evils as heroes and vice versa. advertisers, knowing this, should refrain from this.
i think, there's enough controversies on ahmadinejad, kim, mugabe or chavez or putin who belong to a political cluster. being a 'human rights group', you should refrain from 'partisan' positioning and propaganda.
shahid
i'm not an ardent supporter of human rights violation. neigher i'm a supporter of these leaders nor of the leaders who belong to its counter cluster. these leaders belong to a cluster that has different stance on global politics. by vilifying these leaders, you position yourself as a partisan which is wrong for a human rights group.
before putting up your finger, remember, you have gone bankrupt twice. once when your economy lost all the money and the other when you lost your moral stance.
shahid
Ivan, you might want to remove this entire comment section.

"I love some things, and don't love some other things."
I was kidding... kindof. It's just that the comments seemed so venomous and personal. Not about the ads at all. Just my two cents :)

"I love some things, and don't love some other things."
ivan, appreciate.
dear srivan, comments r venomenous and i humbly refrain from apology. the contents of ad spread similar partisan, bias and provocative elements. and the comments are not out of context. its about advertising. the main purpose of an ad is to pass a message. i find the ads passing -ve message and i just pointed it out.
shahid

@ jai hind: Hitler was born in Austria, not Germany, you ignorant prick.
no big deal after all he fought, lived and died for germany only and for your kind information i know that, moron

the only thing i know is that this ad is a cannes winner, i don´t see any cannes winner here posting, so, meanwhile shut the hell up and enjoy
I like the basic idea here - but isn't this more an ad about Free Speech? Throwing pie at leaders like this for real will get you killed. It's sort of like kicking sand in their face. I tend to agree with Shahidali. Creating ads like this are easy - then hide. Real change comes from taking this to the streets.
If this ad was aimed at politicians, then there must be a full series portraying all the dictatorial politicians who do not only belong to third world. They also come from the United States, Britain, France and Israel too. They should also be presented as merciless violators of human rights. I don't have to dig details to discover their crimes. The whole world knows about them.
If otherwise, the basic theme of the ad is ok.
