I'd like it as a poster art on the wall, but I don't think it is effective as an Ad for Karate Class.

The art is nicely executed, but the message is cryptic.

how it is criptic? "we train you in martial arts to be as deadly as a gun"

@uili

You were able to figure out that that was a GUN on your own? I don't think so. You did because it was in the title of the ad.

Great execution; love the feel/quality of these images BUT they are cryptic indeed (it's not the message that's cryptic).

Sorry, it's pretty clear and suggestive for me, depends on each person's manner of perception.

This is one of those instances where the view size is the absolute make or break. Viewed as a thumbnail, this just looks like an overly stylized drawing of a gun. Viewed full size, it becomes instantly clear what they're getting at. Assuming most people who plan to take martial arts have "body as a weapon" in mind anyway, this works because it plays right to that. Nice look, pretty good sell.

I like it. Excellent. There's a retro effect wisely used. Should be effective as a poster too.

Nice art work. The message of the series is wrong, martial arts are not for killing ,just for self defense.
