This is not the same idea. The only thing they have in common is the message "Our product changes your appearance" - which is likely to be a optician's or a hatseller's message. But Hitler and Chaplin actually existed and the style is totally different.
That's a very good print!
"Let's keep it clean!"
very good, so simple. excellent copy.
MORE MORE MORE! i hate to just see one.
... its already been done...
Nice.
The fact that the agency is from Germany, make it more interesting.

Is it any less effective though?

Is it just me or have they lifted the image from here?
VERY SMART. IT COMMUNICATES THE POINT THAT IT'S THE HAT THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE. NICE.
Great message - A hat can turn you into a different (better) person.
Am I the only one who's bored by the constant Hitler/Chaplin idea-rubbish?! Amd who makes ads for a hat-store???! And even the artwork is stolen:
That's definitely the same visual, but a vastly inferior ad.

Charlie himself made fun of this comparison, and made his position quite clear on the silver screen. A nice idea, not entirely original, but what is these days.
What doesn't kill you makes you injured.
You know what?
I'm from Germany and nearly everyone here is really upset because of this ad... The idea is good..but I'm not sure whether I should laugh or be scared about it, the past is nothing to make fun about and the fact that Hitler is used as an advertising figure is really sick..
Warum sollte man Hitler den "Respekt" erweisen, ihn nicht als Werbefigur einzusetzen?
Why should Hitler be "honoured" by not using him as an advertising figure?
i liked the hat one more than the glasses one..
it's more neat and elegent.
i like the hat one more than the glasses.
its more neatand elegant

I wonder how they got this to finally make it into a print.
In Belgium we allready cause a riot when we want to broadcast a tv-show about A. Hitlers favorite dish!
But I like it a lot!

Nice one very cute....

Stolen execution and a borrowed concept. NO GO!

Thief! I know the person who made the original more than 20 years ago in France !!!.
