I like it. It means that if you don't get their product, you will get more problems. It's being served up to you on a plate, which will you choose is what they ask. It is a bit forced, but It's understandable.

hi guys, i´,m from spain... the real idea is this:

"si no usas recambios originales, te las acabaras comiendo"..... it is a used (and not forced) expression in spain.

Generally in spain it is used when something you just bought does not work... and therefore "you end up eating it" cause there is nothing else you can do with it for not feeling so stupid.

As an expression extreamly used i spain, the idea of this adverts is correct....cause they have used not original honda spare parts, and turned them into food...

you guys must live in spain to understand this advert :)

and then, being familiar to how honda spare parts looks like.... ;)

think you guys, that this advert was made to be a callendar,shown on honda garages :)

You don't need to be spanish ..... What you need is to think more...! So, "eating the consequences" has completely figurative meaning. And if someone has ever done at least one advert in his/her life would understand the meaning.  Concerning the success of the advert … that is another topic. I like it but I don’t think it works well.
