Exactly..something like this was in one show a bajillion times...and who cares. Flimsy ass borrowed interest...the sad thing is that they spent time making it real when it should have died in marker comp stage.

I agree with Boxey's borrowed interest comment. Further, I think associating a simple confection with figures of such political and historic notoriety is disturbingly disingenuous. Wouldn't their purposes be just as (or better) served by dropping the "millions" line and simply showing interesting depictions of smiling people created by the [gum]?
Don't use such icons for silly products. Not like this. Remember the Apple Think Different campaign. That was good.

I like it. a very strong connection. I also love the double play in the line, "Giving millions a reason to smile"
