Hi guys, glad you like it.
If you want to see more, check out the website of the retouchers: www.happyfinish.net
There's also a news piece with more info on the project: www.happyfinish.net/?pid=13&level=1&nid=17&y=2009
And of course loads more of Stefano's work under his portfolio.
Enjoy!

Not that it's a bad thing, but are you part of the Digital Imaging/Creative Retouching company that was involved in this project? Also, I know that this isn't the place for this type of discussion, but I am wondering why the Retouching Company or Stefano was not listed in the credits. However, I am certain that this isn't the first nor last time this has happened.
Maybe I am just mentioning this, because I find the imagery--although done before--to be a bit stronger than the concept.

Good but done before

Very powerful

if only they were that easy to get rid off...

how disturbing.. :\

so. very beautyfulllllllllllllllllllllll.

hi, yep, tried to get Stef credited but it hasnt been done, shame. So see this as his extended credit :)
No, no, no, no, nooooo! This is not brilliant. The line does not tie in with the copy in the slightest. You can lose more than just your patience... what else can I lose? My kid as well? Then why show a kid who's lost HIS arm? Hardly fucking subtle, far from fucking clever.
Also, I tried the website but it didn't work for me... I'm guessing it's a place to go to get parenting advice. Who's the audience here? People who abuse their kids? Or people who wouldn't dream of doing it who want to be the best parents they can be?
It doesn't work for me. And all the nice images of porcelain, broken kids aren't going to swing it.
Spot on. If there is an implied threat of consequence, it should be more visible. I'd file this under 'almost but not quite'

the audience is supposed to be the general public, its a campaign to raise awareness of the serious consequences (for want of a better word "shattered childhoods") of abuse of children. ties in to the whole domestic violence debate.
you're braking your kid inside by abusing it. in my humble opinion that's pretty obvious.
We need more civil courage to end this kind of violence, people to not look away but take the initiative. People who find themselves in these kind of situations to seek help with anger management, in stead of letting it all out on their children.
Dont know whether you've heard of the recent case of Baby P in the UK, this campaign is addressing that sort of situation, so it can be avoided in future by people taking responsibility.

thums up for this campaign...........................

It was not published! It's JUST the project of the ad, nothing more.
Disgusting, i hate this ad.
abrar

i really dont like it either, i mean showing a broken child because you hit them till they break..? whats the concept, u could also just show a real broken leg
This ad really spoke to me. It actually made me tear-up just looking at the child

great ad and use of photoshop. it kinda creeped me out at first but i love it. Jullia Fullerton-Batten did an awesome job. I would love it if she checked out www.cutcaster.com where she can sell her images to other advertisers
