there was a cann winner a few years back that hid a woman crossing the road with a speech bubble. and said don't talk on the phone. This is exactly the same idea. it must be there on adsoftheworld. Copycats.

Purpose is clear. If your eyes are on the gauge you would lose attention to road.
It needs improvement.
I would write the line:
