this is advertising for advertising people. If you're in the biz you laugh (possibly), if you're the average Joe, you think what the FCUK?

What is it that you don't understand guys? Don't dress like a child implies, tongue in cheek, that some men dress silly. So the photo here shows what a man should be wearing so that he doesn't look like a child. Finally, I would not say that the people who buy French Connection are "average Joe's". Many of them are very fashion conscious, so they would not only "get" the campaign, they would also appreciate it.

To make a brand statement, thus making the actual buyers more loyal to the brand? To make the potential buyers know and/or accept the brand? to gain adepts of those that believe that men should look like men? Could be. what do you think?

Since we are talking about men here, you'd be surprised how many guys have money, but no style. You can also say you like fashion, but not dress well. Again, the ad works.

What I don't get is that you actually explained it to them. They clearly aren't the target demographics that's why they don't get it. This ad campaign has intelligent humor on its own right which also means you need the cultural knowledge to get the joke. They don't have it so they don't get it. Don't waste your time on them pls!

It's easier to criticize than to create.

you just dont have a point of view. just trying to attack 'demography' 'Intelligence' 'cultur' and you are sure that you have something that 'They' dont have.

I am feeling around for the exact source of the ha ha here.

Why are quotes around this copy? Is the man in the picture saying the line? --Should "I" be the first word? Are we chuckling at speech patterns of immigrants, in effect? -- The old Peter Sellers Indian accent bit? Is this guy in on the joke? Are we laughing with him or at him or some other idea altogether?

No rating because I'll concede it escapes me. Not enough to go on.

I think, there's a rugged manliness in the posture and a carefully portrayed carelessness that makes the man distinctive and unconventionally fashionable. I also think that the TG would appreciate it and it will also catch the eye balls. All in all, the best of the series. AD and CD(not in the credentials) gets my applaud.
