~~be cool eh!~~

They dont want to be provactive!!! They want a award.
Juries like to vote in a humouristic ad when they have to spend the Cannes week in a dark room voting for tousands of bad ad's. I Like it, I like humour in ad's as in Life.

This is not really a good ad for a chinese restaurant. It doesn't give a better value to the quality of the food, it doesn't talk about good service. It's just making fun of chinese people, in a cliché way.
You could've done better things for it, 'cause this way of making ads, has been seen and done a million times before.
Nice picture though.
An ad for a Chinese restaurant with a Japanese name poking fun of Koreans...
Could you please make up your friggin' mind?

Chinese people also eat dog. See links:

(see 1.3 China)
How stupid of me!
I completely forgot we had a resident dog food expert amongst us. I should've consulted you before I opened my big mouth...
Thanks for the links. That was both disgusting AND educational.

I'd headbutt the creative teams in the Zidane style.
This ad is racist.

I've read all the comments. Where's your sense of humour? I love it.
It may be funny, but it doesn't work - unless it's an advertisement for the restaurant across the street from the Chinese place. Don't make people feel disgusted by the thought of what's in your food. How can that do anything ecxept backfre?

whats so funny about this?
Come to our restaurant, Fifi is on the menu.
Hey, if this ad was aiming at the 0.0001% of the population will say "hey, let's go try that dog meat", I guess it's effective.

If at first you dont succeed... don't try parachuting
I have a funny story. As a young kid growing up in Halifax there was a story on local television that a very popular local Chinese restaurant had been caught by the health department using seagulls instead of chicken in some of their dishes.
The local news interviewed the owner of a competing Chinese restaurant wherein after being told that the other restaurant has been "using seagull in their traditional dishes," the owner replied "our seagull dishes are much better."
That moment will live on as being one of the most disgusting and hilarious moments I can remember.
yes, i saw it already on newcreatives and I didn't understand why it got a 'best of'.
ok, it's (relatively) funny, but sending a good message for your brand is more important than being funny (imho)
I guess that's the way it goes now: to win awards, creatives start loosing their main objective, namely PROMOTING a brand.
