agreed, i've worked in child care and even just seeing a momuntary rize in a childs self asteem makes you feel like a million bucks
very good campaign...deserved th bronze it got this year!
ps: ivan, the line is : "adopt. you wil rcv more than u cn ever give" i guess u missed the 'you will' part..
~ old habits die hard, older ones never do ~
looks very cute, but i think the visual's wrong.
to me the picture's telling people that adopting a child can help them to gain the feeling of security.
kids don't give that feeling, they need it. they'll give you love, joy etc in return.
... and when that child grows? What happens to you? Excersise your brain a little deeper, man.

yeah brandsurgeon, i'll exercise my brain a little deeper.
maybe you could work on your manners, "man".
anyway, i try to explain what i was thinking:
this ad is clearly showing a child. children don't give you security as long as they're children.
there are a lot of people out there who can't manage their own lives and who think that having / adopting a child could help them to fix that. i met (and i'm still meeting) people who think that way.
as a result they're often overstrained, unable to see their kids' needs & problems and start to blame their kids for everything.
Here it isn't the security feeling, is the love one. Have you childs ??

yes i do have a daughter. why?
to me this was about giving security. you may be right, though
How real would you want the picture to be? As real as the creepy-crawly thing in Lord of the Rings? Its a fantasy, man! It's a projection of the future...
(Sometimes, I think its better to admit you wish you had thought of it first)

I don't like it very much
I prefer the 'adopt a dog' campaign. two completely different things, but I prefer.
.This conversation is over.
and plain lazy and self-indulging creatives/wankers.
jono
it won a bronze. it does not deserve it.
not that good.
keep the good work rolling!!!
thinking aloud here...
takes down notes on ideation process:
non-literal way of expressing long-term benefit, the most desired benefit for asian parents - children growing up well-loved, knows the best way to show love to aged parents is by taking care of them.
how: show role reversal, as may be the case in due time, by visually reversing sizes so that parent is now small-sized like a child, and as dependent as a child, and loved by child as they have loved their child.

loved it ...thou there is a doubt between insecurity and love being perception ... dont know is this the best or could have been better ...lot of things matter to rate and compare ...and honestly every advertisement is a different one ...u cant compare ... its just an illusion.
