This campaign was to re-launch the already successful Crime Stoppers Text in your tip initiative. Although this initiative had already received a big response, we wanted to make it even more clear to the public that texting your tip to help prevent crime is simple. In addition, we wanted to highlight different things the public could text to be even more assistance. We did this by turning different landmarks such as a; street sign, park sign and building sign into “text language” to demonstrate that no matter where you are there is information you can text to help. Although the locations of the ads were random and the campaign’s content was no reflection of crime in those particular areas, we wanted to demonstrated that landmarks near where crime could potentially happen are good tips to help the police get to the scene faster.
