I'm sure you're one of the "creatives" envolved because this has been done several times. Plus, I don't need anyone to tell me that the benefit of a BUG KILLER is KILLING BUGS.
seen somethin similar but not on a pack,
in that ad the cockroach is as on the front cover of his one
but the product is turned away from the viewer. so when the
the ad is turned 180 degrees, the product is straight and the
cockroach dead.
Doesn't make sense, they got the limbs of the poor fellow all wrong...
iT-iS-i, like an upside down ! mark.
:: Put your ears against the ground so i can walk over what you heard::
On the second page that is...
iT-iS-i, like an upside down ! mark.
:: Put your ears against the ground so i can walk over what you heard::
i thought of that save penguin ad. "ignoring the problem won't make it go away" (better in my opinion btw ;)
i like the execution here. you turn the page, you turn the bug. bug on it's back -> dead. this is simple, clean and well made. but the basic-idea "kills bugs" is lazy. too many of those
Awesome! Love it.
For those who don't, not all advertising needs to over-exaggerate product benefits in an amusing or memorable way. This ad is a simple, memorable product demonstration which engages the viewer, making them interact with it. I would buy Baygon based on this ad as it will be the first brand to pop into my mind. Therefore, mission accomplished.

Energizer Bunny arrested, charged with battery.
mission would be accomplished with one page as well. to me the idea is not so strong to get two pages.
therefore half of the money wasted.
You would then lose the interaction to which I refer, and make it a normal ad showing a picture of a dead bug.

Energizer Bunny arrested, charged with battery.
spending a whole page to show how a live cockroach looks like?
it IS a normal ad already.
The moment someone sees the bug picture... they hurriedly will turn the page.
And on the next page... it would be already dead.
Bug Killer - Baygon - has done it. Hip Hip Hurray!!!

Personally I don't support killing of any creatures... but if you keep your House Cleans... You won't need to. Right?
yeah. left is right and right is the backside. its not printed as it is shown here
wtf? seems to be a students work!
brazilian is good for football, not for advertising

its ok to not comment...
dalbir baba, learn how to appriciate a good think,
i would say this is nice utilization of medium.
nice and simple ad
It's all subjective. I'm not a fan of this ad. Too easy isn't a very good judge of something that's made to cause people to do something. It simply doesn't cause me to want to buy their bug spray.
Hi.
I think this ad, in its simplicity, make a perfect statement. "We kill bugs". Maybe you're not inspired to run out and buy their product, but the branding is so basic and effective, you'll think about it the first time you decide to buy a new can of bug spray.
daveconrey, that's bullshit!and even if you're right it's still not a good ad to just show the product and the logo. if we would work like this my comments would look like this:
wtf? seems to be a clients work!
