If Hasbro actually hired you to do an ad for a 60-year-old board game, this would be your first idea. But if you were sitting around thinking of fake ads you could do, I imagine you'd think this was pretty clever.
My first thought was this looks fake. Then I saw that it's student work, so obviously it is. It is well-produced for students. But a bit on the easy and expected side.
A lot of effort and quality for a non-idea.
We ad people love getting clues... but don't like being told! ;)

Can't believe all the flack this is getting; I absolutely love this.
New accounts with only one comment usually do love whatever they happen to be commenting on. It's a strange phenomenon.
first thought. without knowing about the game in the first place, how would this make sense to anyone?
