unbelievably bad to win a cannes
for sure

It's a great campaign but this one is slightly off - the thing on his nose doesn't add anything, only distracts. Others are great.
I think the thing on his nose adds to the effect. It shows his health is weak and he may die soon and during a family photo he doesn't care (as much). That could be his last moments with family but he'd rather spend his last moments with the channel. So it's more than him ignoring everyone for the product; he wants to spend his last moments with the product.
I know, I know. But to me, it's too much. Kills the subtlety.
Well, it is an old idea, but it's done in a fresh way, which is more than most manage.
We've seen it a million times. Total whiff.
THIS WON AT CANNES IN 2011??? WHO IN THE HELL WERE THE JUDGES.?. FUNNY IDEA BUT NOT A TROPHY WINNER??? PUHHHLLLEASE.. SEEN IT A MILLION TIMES AS WELL.. ABSOLOUTELY BAD IDEA TO GIVE THIS A STANDING OVATION IN CANNES?? AD IS ONLY SLIGHTLY BETTER THAN STUDENT WORK..WOW.. FEEL SORRY FOR THE NERDS WHO SPENT THEIR MONEY JUST TO GET THERE TO CANNES... HUGE DISAPPOINT IMO!!!
Liked the others but this doesn't work for me - something about the pose.
Oh yeah, sure. If my grandpa was about to die with tubes in his nose, I think I'll take a picture of me and family laughing, while watching a sport channel.
God, people are so strange when talking about feelings and family...
