Australian Government Print Ad - The Line, Photos

The Australian Government is running “The Line”, an integrated campaign designed to promote respectful relationships among young people. Managed by the Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA), the campaign includes a web site,, Facebook page, print and radio advertising, and promotional events involving music and art.

Posting those dirty photos on the net. That totally crossed it for me.

Love it too, illustrator has done a great job. But this ad is to change young people's behaviour and I doubt this will do the job. "The line" remains so abstract and there is lack of something like a bitchslap in the face.

What agency made this btw?

Actually "crossing the line" is a well known phrase in NZ and Australia.

And yes when dealing with sensitive comments a "bitchslap in the face" is always best.

Kind of feels like the State Farm campaign, "You know that place where ______ meets ______? I'm totally there." Didn't really dig that campaign either. For me, the illustration is 25% too rough. I know what you were going for, but I think it could have been kept a LITTLE cleaner.

Looks great. Margin doodles with a clear message. The website doesn't seem to be that popular though, which is a shame, since it's pretty well put together as a resource for troubled youth.
