Not great, just okay...it wont win a lion!

it won't win anything.
I think you are forgetting that the goal is not to win awards, but to sell product.
Advertising is supposed to serve the client not your ego.

The goal should be to serve the brand, the consumer, not the client and not anybody's ego.

I am not sure if you are agreeing with me or not :)
But here is what I think:
The client is the brand, and as long as they are paying the bill the results should serve them.
And as far as consumers go, I think it is a starch to think that for-profit corporations care about their consumers.
I think calling people "consumers" pretty much sums it up.
And I am not sure if I made this clear in my first post, but I like this ad.
I think it will work, a.k.a sell product, serve the client. :)

yeah I agree with you!!
as a agency we must loving the consumer not the client !

I second that. This website is becoming a congregation of presumptuous jokers who would not have the courage to do a decent advt, yet sit on judgment seat and tell others what to do. Please gather the decency to give a rationale to why an ad wont work.

OK. Rational for why it won't work. What's the ad telling me? That this middle-aged guy is hooked on milk? And that should send me running to the shops for some?
I'm not saying this is a great ad. The problem for me is that the cuts around the mouth don't suggest addiction; they suggest that these people need to relax their drinking hand.
However, to answer your question: It's pretty straight forward what the ad is telling you. It's a testimonial. If this guy loves milk this much, then you'll probably love it too. Go out and try some. Same tactic is used with many products and services.
Again, I don't love it. They're trying to create another "Got Milk? Mustache". Unfortunately, it doesn't work. Only milk will give you that milk mustache, whereas anything in a round glass could give you these cuts.

this is actually funny. i like it....

Maybe in the next ad they can all have white mustaches, oh wait...
