Depending on what you consider to be a success; be it just grabbing attention, selling the product or service or being creative, the ad didn’t achieve any for me. Like Mason said he had to check to make sure what the product was. It didn’t grab my attention because I basically thought to myself I have seen this before and didn’t really pay attention to the whole fight/foreplay scene. Which leads to why I didn’t find it creative.-it was done in a movie
Question to those who watch: Would you consider it a success?

Wasn’t this done in Zorro? The fact it was done in a major movie seems awkward someone would use it for an ad. I hope they are not claiming it to be their own idea.
Free your skin? Headline seems way off mark.
Overall, I do not like this ad.

I like the attitude and playfulness.
Sex absolutely sells. This advertisement caught my attention and demanded my interest. Wilkinson played to my millennial stereo types. The ad started with something unique (the sword), then followed into an action scene, and finally held my attention with the increasingly sexual nature. Advertisements are meant to ignite a feeling that complements the product or service being sold. The advertisement's action, sex, and mild humor did a great job at invoking various emotions however it did not do well at tying those emotions with the product or service. Upon finishing the ad I had to research Wilkinson to confirm I was indeed correct on what I thought Wilkinson's product is. The company's name was shown once and it was a very brief showing. Then the idea was a bit of a stretch to connect with the actual product. I felt like I was guessing when deciding on what the advertising company was trying to sell. The advertisement was basically an entertaining video.
I have to say for a razor blade selling company this was a bold and solid ad.
I wouldn't say it was bold, but definitely different.
An axe murderer of ads.
