At first, Verizon landed some good shots on AT&T with this "maps" campaign. But it's gotten silly, and petty, and it's done.

I'm guessing most of the people responding to this post so far lived most of their lives after 1994. For those of us who grew up between 1975 and 1994, when the Big Red commercials on which this advertising is based, were running, this is a fond memory that makes us chuckle and temporarily transports you back in time. It's a catchy jingle and always has been, and for one I think Verizon did a great job marketing with this particular ad.
